That got you, didn’t it? You didn’t think we’d suggest checking your hot water in the warmer weather, did you?

Well, it turns out spring is a terrific time to do precisely that! Hot water system repair work is quite common as summer comes to an end. It makes sense – the system has not been used nearly as much as it is over winter, and sediment builds up. Consider it similar to a car – if it’s not in regular use, it’s not very happy. So, as its peak season comes to an end, now is an excellent time to give it a once over and make sure everything is tickety-boo before it goes into temporary retirement (or at least slows down) over the hotter months.

Now is also a good time to think about gas hot water installation. Doing so means you’ll beat the frantic rush that usually happens before winter. Pipes tend to contract or expand depending on the surrounding temperature, so as the seasons change, now is the time to expect to find leaks. At best, they can be an embarrassing hiccup to your entertaining plans. In fact, just conducting a general inspection across all obvious areas of the home – sinks, showers, toilets, machines using water, gas heaters etc. – is a valuable exercise.
